We went with this frame because it was the style that we were looking for. But we weren't completely sold on the quality until it arrived and I put it together. The instructions were not so well written out but it was easy enough to figure out just by looking and once put together we were very happy with it! It looks beautiful and seems pretty sturdy. Definitely a nice piece especially considering the low price. I would recommend it, the picture is very accurate, it's lovely.

This item is very much how it appears in the pictures. My wife and I are very happy with it. The fold-down tray functions as expected; de facto remote-control storage. A caveat when using a memory foam mattress: the included slats are useless (and may not serve a traditional box-spring/mattress well, either). We ended up ditching the slats altogether and went strait 1" plywood, custom cut to cover the entire area. Dropped our memory foam in and now everything is rock-solid. The instructions are a poorly written will require someone with a decent level of handiness.

Putting it together was a little annoying but pretty much self explanatory!! I did it before my hubby even got home from work!! :) Very worth the money and the tray in the middle is awesome!!

I love this bed. We use the middle armrest as a food table when we feel like eating in bed. It has a high quality look for an affordable price. It didn't included instructions, so it took a little bit of trial and error to assemble. Unlike with Ikea's wooden slats that just sit on the frame, these slats each individually snap into place one by one, so they aren't going to move anywhere. It was annoying to assemble, but worth it in the end. I have a memory foam mattress, so I took another reviewer's advice, and bought two twin size sheets of fiber board to lay on top of the slats to provide additional support. When my husband moves around, it makes a sound as if the boards are rubbing together, but we probably laid it down weird.

My only qualm is that the screws used for the armrest aren't very neatly installed. They look a little too industrial for this style bed with no bevel to let them sit smoothly once screwed in. Some screws are also screwed in at an angle, so it looks a little sloppy. These screws are only visible when the armrest is down, so it's not a deal breaker.

I decided to take a chance and purchase this bed based on the two or three reviews that existed for this bed at the time and now I would like to share my experience for all prospective buyers.

ASSEMBLY

You will need a friend to help you as some of the pieces can be hefty. The instruction manual leaves much to be desired and seems like it was written by a foreigner (who does not speak English). Fortunately it was relatively easy to figure out and my friend and I put everything together in about 2 hours. During assembly, my friend accidentally propped his hand against the lower part of the headboard to lift himself off the ground. This resulted in the material giving way and now there is a slight dent in the bed. So be careful when assembling!

LOOK/FEEL

This bed looks and feels great! It has a luxury feel to it and I am really loving it.

I would definitely recommend this bed.
