I am updating this review a year later to say that I am so grateful I bought this lamp, it is a beautiful piece in my house and it is so versatile, I know of about 3 places it would work. It is solid construction and the shade is large enough to allow for a larger light bulb (120 watt+) that has true color.
The quality of the shade is excellent and the color is slightly darker that an ivory and blends well with the lamp. The entire lamp was easy to assemble, heavy and seemed consistent in quality. A metal edge on the table tray gives that table lamp a nice finish. As a comparison, I had purchased a west elm floor lamp recently that was no where near the quality of this lamp and much more difficult to assemble.
What is interesting about this lamp is the finish. When assembling the lamp, I noticed that the three-leg stand portion of the lamp has more of a golden bronze appearance (which I am more in favor of) where the rest of the lamp has more of a flat bronze appearance. In addition the metal edging on the glass tray table appears to have a more golden bronze look. Initially, I had thought there was a quality control issue. However, once assembled the lamps appearance looks consistent.

I loved the idea of this lamp. The shade is a nice quality linen and looks great. Multiple problems from there though. Most importantly, the three legs were not all the same length making the lamp stand VISIBLY crooked. How this wasn't caught during manufacturing or packaging of this lamp, I can't imagine. The metal ring around the glass table simply lays on top and if bumped, would rattle and come off/a-jar. Lastly, the finish is not great (almost a flat brown as opposed to a metallic finish), giving it a cheap appearance. Bummer...I really wanted this to work.
