I read all of the reviews and was not worried with some of the negative reviews. Some of the other reviews I'd like to address, if you had a heavy duty oak table you can't accurately compare these because this isn't a solid oak table, you get what you pay for, this is a good table for the price you pay. The review about benches not being sturdy not sure why theirs are not, I have someone heavier that sits on them and it does just fine. This table is very sturdy, it is beautiful, it took 2 people to put it together, but it was not hard. My only complaint is on the corner platform and where the back of the bench meet there is a gap of about 1/2 an inchother than that its perfect.

This nook looks really cute. We LOVE the storage in the seats. Was fairly easy to put together with two people. However, we have two main problems. The single bench piece isn't very sturdy. You can't have someone heavy sit on it. My husband weighs about 150 lbs and he bends it. The other benches are sturdy though. Also, on the corner piece, the screws didn't exactly line up right with the premade holes so it stripped the hole and now the one part on the top is kind of sticking up. It's not too noticeable unless you're sitting right there.Best Deals for Target Marketing Systems 3-Piece Nook Dining Set
I read through every single review before purchasing this product.Shipping I purchased this product on 2/19/13 and it arrived 2/25/13 (estimated delivery was 2/28/13). It shipped from IL to CA. No complaints about the shipping time. However, there were two piece of the furniture that came damaged. I considered sending back, but the damaged pieces were hidden and not noticeable post-assembly. I will attach pictures of the damages pieces to the product.
Assembly This was a little challenging. On a difficulty scale of 1 to 10? A 6? Maybe 7. I agree with reviews stating this is a 2-person job. The 2nd person really just needs to hold pieces together while the 1st person does all the screwing in. Without a 2nd person, it would take much longer. I also used a power drill, I cant imagine having to do all those screws by hand. The entire assembly took me roughly 4 1/2 hours (a good while, but my second person was my gf). The instructions are not any more difficult/annoying than IKEA manuals -if you can put together IKEA stuff, you can put together this stuff. Simple. Also, I don't know enough about wood glue to know how the one in the box provided compares, but it did seem of low quality.
Other complaints in reviews -
Weight/Sturdiness I weigh 200+ and I share this table with one other person. I have not seen/felt any weakness in the seats, bench or table itself. This may change over time, but anyone who immediately is concerned about the product supporting them, may not have assembled this correctly.
Wood It's an artificial surface. For what you pay that is to be expected. Complaints about hot items ruining the surface? Get placemats/serving plates.
Advice Assemble with 2 people. Open all packages (was delivered in 4 boxes) before assembling and check for damages. Do an inventory of all pieces included. Assemble on anything besides hard floor to avoid scratches to surfaces of wood (carpet/ lay a blanket down, etc.).
I gave this a 4 and not a 5 because of the pieces that came damaged. Aside from that, I have enjoyed this product so far. I bought this product because I have an open floor plan and needed to fit a corner of my apartment. It does exactly that I will attach pictures. I recommend this to anyone who is trying to find an inexpensive table for everyday use. Don't buy this table and expect to be blown away by it awesomeness it simply does it's job. If you are one of those nit-picky people who enjoys "the finer things", this isn't for you. Buyer Beware.
