This dresser turned out to be a very nice one. It is somewhat frustrating to assemble, but you have to remember that YOU ARE ASSEMBLING A DRESSER. Just follow directions exactly as shown and you will have yourself a nice looking dresser with smooth gliding drawers. Total assembly time was about 4.5 hours.

We bought this to replace a toddler bed for my three-year-old (along with the matching headboard).I am happy with the product overall the only criticism I have is that the drawer bottoms are a thin, almost cardboard-like material instead of the thicker board like the rest of the bed, and I don't see that holding up to kids for very long.
One of the long, thin boards that run above and below the drawers was broken in half when it arrived (more than likely from shipping, though the packing seems like it should have been adequate). We called for a replacement and received it quickly, no questions asked. Luckily it was not a support piece, so we were able to assemble the rest of the bed and use it in the meantime. The manufacturer definitely makes an effort to prevent damage with lots and lots of support and packing material.
One thing to note is that when you open the package, you may notice some pieces that are not the right color. I was alarmed by this at first, but in with the instructions you will find a note that explains that some non-visible pieces of the bed may arrive in a different color, in order to save money and resources. I actually think that it's a great idea (why waste pieces that don't "match" if they can't even be seen?) but it can be a litle unnerving when you first see it.

The headboard arrived today. It was a day early, contained extra assembly parts, and I had to pee twice during the two hours it took me to un-crate and assemble it. But, despite all these problems, it is perfect and was easy to assemble. I guess I have to give it 5-STARS.Honest reviews on South Shore Furniture Logic Collection

I purchased the bed, headboard and dresser. Shipping took forever (2 weeks), and I ordered this from Amazon because I needed it within the week. For Amazon Prime members, the bed has 3-5 day shipping on top of the 3-5 day processing. I ordered this set because the dresser is only 4 feet (ish) long and that's all the space I have. Most dressers were 5-5.5 feet.I received the dresser first, and I got 75-80% of the way through in an afternoon and evening. I was using a bad screwdriver initially, so I bruised my hand trying to force the screws into the wood. You need a power-drill for the base. There are 6 L-brackets for the base that have no pilot holes in the pieces they are supposed to connect to, and it's nearly impossible to just force the screw in. As other reviewers have said, the drawer bottoms are very flimsy, but there are a lot of other supports (L-brackets, screws etc) so that you don't really notice it after putting it together. The back of the dresser is literally just a sheet of cardboard, which I would imagine would be a problem if you intended to move it. Also, one of the pieces of the base was finished on the wrong side, but it was in the back, so it's not really an issue. All the pieces fit well together though, and you need to be careful about punching through the wood with the nails for the bottoms of the drawers.
I received the bed and the headboard at the same time. The drawers for the bed were much easier to put together this time since they were the same as the dresser drawers, and my father and I put it together in a couple of hours. The drawers also don't slide as well as the dresser drawers, they drag on the frame on the bottom. Since they mostly store things I don't use often, it's not an issue for me. A box spring is unnecessary for the bed.
The back of the headboard is the same material as the drawer bottoms except finished on one side and the cord holes aren't very big. It's sturdy though, and can stand by itself. Same issue with the L-brackets and needing a power-drill. I didn't connect it to the bed, but it would connect with just two screws, and I don't believe there are pilot holes, which means you would need a power-drill again.
I would recommend this, but assembling it with two people would definitely be advised and you need a power-drill. The dresser is the most complicated to assemble, expect at least 6-8 hours of work if assembling it by yourself. After I get out of college, I will definitely get real furniture, but in the meantime this works well and looks nice.
