These are truly lovely. The details in the weaving are beautiful and intricate. The dark brown is almost black, which is what I wanted to go our checkered black and white ceramic tile floor and claw foot tub. I would love to see these hanging in the bathroom. But I don't know how practical they will be, and I will update on that.
The fabric is soft and appears to be absorbent after an initial kitchen towel test. But the herringbone weave is very delicate, almost silky, and looks like it would snag easily. I already have a couple of soft Turkish linen striped bath towels that I love and that are quite sturdy for as thin as they are. But these are much more refined and have a layered pattern weave that could catch and snag on all kinds of things, like a rough finger nail or who knows what.
I don't want to be a hoarder, but I feel like keeping them and never using them!
