Hem stitched placemats that look exactly like the photos. If this is the style you like, then you should not be disappointed.These placemats came in an incredibly huge cardboard box stuffed with an enormous amount of airbags. I could not imagine what was inside. It's not like you can break a flexible plastic placemat. Needless to say, each and every placemat was thoroughly protected during shipment. :)

Love these mats. Nice TIGHT weave with well-finished outer edges in a generous size. The red matched my Kay Dee Tuscan flour sack towels PERFECTLY. They have a very slight red orange hue that it's color, Tango, implied to me. I didn't want a true red and when paired next to one another, these mats could well have been made from the same dye bath my towels were! They are not super flimsy but of course bendable and do slide around on the table. I'm thinking of purchasing some cork board and cutting it size to prevent this. The size, the color and the quality exceeded my expectations for using these in a casual table setting for everyday use. I am super picky and looked forever for placemats but never liked any. I ordered these with caution. But the color is just very bright and beautiful. They are made very well and very sturdy. They look fantastic on my table! I'm going to order another set in another color because I like them so much
