I have to tell you, I did not have high hopes for these to work very well when I purchased them. We purchased new furniture a few months back, and since that time, every time anyone would sit down, the sofa would slide on the hardwoods. I had tried a number of other options, all of which failed to meet my expectations. Finally, as a last try, I bought these extremely affordable floor pads, thinking that if they didn't work, then at least I wouldn't be out very much money. I was VERY pleasantly surprised at how well they work. The sofa does not move at all when someone sits down. In fact, our dog will jump up on the sofa (which before would move it upwards of 6 inches or so), and it does not move at all!

If you're looking for something that will stop your furniture from sliding on hardwoods, look no further! This is your best bet!

We installed Pergo in the family room with an area run in the middle. My Lazy Boy chair started sliding back toward the wall a bit each time I sat or got up. These pads got good reviews so I gave them a try. I put two under each runner and it has solved the problem. There is no adhesive so I was a bit skeptical that the pads would stay in place, a couple of months later the pads are still in place and the chair doesn't slide on the floor.

These worked great in the beginning. After installing hardwood floors we looked for a product that would keep our couch and chairs from sliding while also protecting the floors. when we moved the couch for a thorough cleaning we realized WHY it had been working so well. The rubber on the pad was STUCK to the floor. We pealed them off, and a gentle scrub with a wet rag cleaned the floor, but I guess the only sticky stuff was washed away when we cleaned the residue. After the cleaning, they no longer kept the couch from sliding.
