Although we moved into a bigger house, our daughter wound up with a smaller bedroom. At first she was a little upset, until this bed/desk unit saved the day. Now she has MORE room than she had before AND this desk is bigger. With this unit in the room, she even has enough square footage for a small couch that she uses when her friends are over to watch movies on her computer.
This is a great piece of furniture anytime more square footage is needed. It's great for a child's room, a dorm, or anywhere space is at a premium. I was motivated to look for such a piece after seeing a "homemade" version in my friend's tiny Manhattan apartment. This is a lot better looking than that, and is made with quality hardwoods so it will last for generations.
