The quality of the wood is excellent, the overall look is nice, and it is very roomy, but that doesn't compare to how dangerous the crib can be for a baby over 8 or 9 months old. I bought this product thinking that the changing table could be removed and that the crib could be a stand alone crib without a changing table attached to it, but that didn't end up being the case. When your child is able to pull themselves up to a standing position, pediatricians, books, the internet all say that you should move everything that your child could stand on away from the crib in case they were able to climb out. You can't move the changing table unless you decided to move your 8 or 9 month old into a toddler day bed. The company that made the product didn't offer me any help on finding an attachment that I could purchase separately, either. The side of the crib where the changing table is attached is also different from the other sides of the crib. It has a different design and an extra ledge that is lower than the top of the crib that my child was able to use to put his foot on and push himself onto the changing table, before he was able to climb out of a regular crib that doesn't have a changing table attached. Based on my experience, I would only rate this product one star, and I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. If you do decide to purchase this product, maybe the crib tent from one step ahead could help at the stage where your child starts pulling themselves up to a standing position. As a side note, the changing table was really great and convenient, but my son was taller than the average baby his age, and at about 3 months of age, I stopped using the changing table because he would kick during his diaper changes and his heels would hit the end of the changing table because he had gotten too long and this would hurt him.

The crib itself is solid and gorgeous. We also purchased the mattress & cover that was recommended for this particular crib.
Its relatively simple to put together... an extra pair of hands is helpful, but some of the directions got to be a little confusing.
My only negative comment is that the drawers for the changer do not seem to be cut right & do not fit properly or line up correctly regardless of drawer placement. I will attempt to loosen & readjust the pieces to see if that makes a difference.

The dimensions on amazon are incorrect. I was pleased to discover that the height of the crib is only 41 (not the 51 listed on Amazon). This is a very nice looking little crib that seems very sturdy and well made. Assembly was not too difficult however I would caution you to use particular care when assembling the drawers be sure that the sides are on squarely. When we were finished, (at around 1am) our drawers ended up crooked on the runners.
