I read lots of reviews before purchasing this blender. I primarily was looking to replace my Kitchen Aid blender (the jar broke and finding a replacement was impossible. I also wasn't overly fond of the thing.) I used my old blender mostly for making smoothies and occasionally making salsa. The Ninja Pulse is amazing to make a smoothie with. I was very impressed with how well it blended and the ease in clean-up. I love the personal, to go cups that are used to blend the smoothies in. My kids love smoothies but don't always want the same flavors so now they can each have their own and then the clean up is a cinch.

I did try the cookie paddle and it worked well. I don't know that I would use it often as I have a Kitchen Aid stand mixer which is super for cookie making. The jar on the Ninja Pulse can not hold most cookie recipes unless cut in half. I had to stop frequently to scrape the sides of the jar and found it more time consuming. However the cookie dough did come out well and for a small batch I would use it again.

I have only owned one food processor and don't usually need one but I did try the Ninja pulse for food processing too. It is very powerful and it will take me more time to not puree the veggies! It does a great job and cuts fairly evenly. I'm sure once I use it more often for food processing I'll become more accustomed to how to use that feature.

If you are looking to make smoothies or frozen drinks you can't go wrong with blender.

It is very easy to clean and is small enough to keep on a kitchen counter or to store.

I found it at Bed, Bath and Beyond for $79.99 and used a 20% off coupon.

Would definitely recommend this product.

I bought the Ninja Pulse BL204 based on the very positive reviews here and would like to add one more:

PROs:

Small footprint makes the Ninja Pulse suitable for smaller kitchens, too.

Strong: So far I have not had difficulties blending various ingredients when filling the cups/bowl smartly. The only time I had to let it run longer and abandon Pulse mode for holding it down continuously was when I had filled a single serve cup with milk, followed by thick yogurt and then added banana. The banana tended to stick to the bottom (which becomes the top when blending). Now I make sure to put the banana (and other soft ingredients like it) in last and it works well this way.

A lot of thought-out accessories makes it versatile: From single-serve smoothies to dips to cookie dough, this machine does it all.

Tightly closing: No leaking at all if one sticks with the instructions to not overfill. On occasion I have not done so and then had to put up with some spillage (not the Ninja's fault). But even then cleanup was easy and quick due to the design that avoids as many "nooks and crannies" as possible.

Straight-forward operation: What is not to love here? No lengthy manuals to read, no overwhelming number of buttons and choices one doesn't really need most of the time anyway. Just the pulse function and that's it. To me this is perfect.

Clean design: This might not be the most important point, but I for one appreciate a kitchen appliance which blends in (no pun intended) and doesn't draw the eye. The Ninja Pulse delivers in that department. It does not look massive on the counter-top and the lack of buttons only adds to that clean, sleek look.

While I am not fond of plastics in general, the Ninja materials all feel like high quality, especially the single serve cups as well as the respective lids and the blade. Very, very sturdy and designed with practicality in mind (The lids on the single serve cups open and close much like a travel tumbler's lid).

CONs:

Really none. Apart from my personal preference that I would like to see as much glass as possible for items that come into contact with food, this little machine is perfect.

NOTE:

One thing that would be great would be the possibility to buy additional single serve cups. The BL204 comes only with 3 cups, the BL205 apparently with 4. I have checked here on Amazon as well as on the manufacturer's website but came up empty.

I recommend this machine to anyone who wants a powerful, versatile blender that doesn't hog counter-top space and looks great.

The PULSE is fantastic! I had a magic bullet, broke after 2 months and really didn't perform well. Tried the cuisinart personal blender, it was ok I guess. I hadn't planned to every buy a personal blender again until I saw Ninja offered one. The personal blending cups work so well! I like to make smoothies in the morning before my workout and this makes it so convenientadd my frozen fruit, yogurt, and a splash of juice. This thing pulverizes EVERYTHING, I couldn't believe it blended frozen fruit so well. No chunks, super quick, screw on the to go lid and YUM!

I bought the Ninja ($79.99) a few days ago and I absolutely LOVE it! I love juicing, but, let's face it, it's a lot of work! Cutting, peeling, cleaning.. Did I mention cleaning? What a waste of food most of the nutrition ends up in the garbage! However, NONE of this applies to the NINJA.

I pick what I want and toss it all in. Ok, I have to peel oranges,bananas, and the like, but aside from that, NONE of the food is wasted. It all goes in.By watching other infomercials, I have learned to sneak the veggies in there too. You cannot taste them! IT IS FABULOUS! Not only are the drinks delicious and nutritious, but they are filling too! How cool is that? I am actually getting all my fruits and veggies, but I actually like them, and feel full, PLUS the energy you get is amazing! NO diet pill hunger and jitters.

You can finely chop nuts and seeds EXCEPT FLAX seeds. I have to get a grinder for those. I am also looking to add chia seeds.

Back to the cleaning, IT IS SO SIMPLE!!!Rinse, add some hot water and a couple of drops of dish soap, put it back together,pulse, and rinse! Viola! IT IS CLEAN! There is no trying to scrub out tiny corners or juicing screens.

The juice is a bit chunky more like a puree but totally palatable. When juicing whole fruits and veggies, it is impossible to get the juice completely "juice-like", unless you strain out the pulp altogether.

This is one of the best gadgets I have invested in. Even my kids were pretty impressed! I am getting rid of my 2 juicers because I have found their replacement!I LOVE MY NINJA!

Ok, so the blender is 700 watt blender. The reason why it produce the same quality as vitamix because you're using a smaller bottle. Keep in mind i'm only testing this with single serving bottle and not the large 40oz one. I"m sure the bigger one will most likely not produce the kind of puree as the smaller one.

The main reason why the smaller one produce like that because of physic. You're basically pumping 700 watt into such a small space so you create tons of force in it which basically destroy all the vegetable and fruits into liquid.

On the other hand, if you're using a large 40z, then you obviously need 1500 watt motor to destroy the fruits, ice and vegetable into puree.

Personally, I only blended for myself so this worked pretty well for me. I basically pay only 75 bucks to get the equal value of smoothie compare to blenders that usually cost at least 400 bucks. Good enough value for me :-)
