I ordered this for my niece for her 7th birthday. When it came it was a lot smaller than I was expecting, but it listed a weight limit of 81 lbs and she is only 52 lbs. It is a little on the small side for her since she's pretty tall, but she absolutely loved the color and picture on it. My 4 year old nephew really enjoys it too. The age desciption on this chair is 3-8yrs. My son is 4 and I dont seem him being able to sit in this chair much more than a year. The chair is small to the ground. My son is on the taller side, so if your child is short...then this product would probably last you longer. I dont know of any 8yr old though who would come close to sitting in this chair.
