This crib looks nice and is sturdy (it doesn't wiggle when you push/pull). It looks as pictured. At 5'8" when I put her in at the lowest height I can bend to pick her up and my stomach just clears the top rail. The materials used to build the crib arrived well packaged and in good condition. The parts (though some are plastic plastic) seem sturdy. This is a fine crib for the price. The standard crib matress fit with less that 2 finger-width of space. It did take two people to move the un-opened box up stairs.Best Deals for Nursery 101 Sidney Convertible Crib, White
I was pleased with the overall quality of the product. It's shipped fast as well. However, the support beam at the bottom of the crib is about 2 inches short. I will have to go to a local hardward store to purchase longer screws so I can attach it.Honest reviews on Nursery 101 Sidney Convertible Crib, White
We bought this while living in a temporary apartment waiting. We'll be in our house soon, reunited with all of our stuff, but our son needed a crib to sleep in, and our daughter will need a crib in the future. We picked this up as a temporary crib for him, but will be saving it and using it as her full time crib. It's sturdy, easy to assemble, and looks nice enough to get away with. Besides, it's for a baby, and frankly, she isn't picky.Pros:
Assembled quickly and easily following the attached instructions. It only took me about 30 minutes using the included allen wrench only. I was very pleased with the assembly instructions, which I worried would be poorly translated.
It's sharp looking. The finish is consistent throughout, and durable enough it could withstand a bit of banging around.
The mattress level moves up and down, so it will grow with the baby.
Longer term, the side comes off to convert it into a toddler bed then a headboard. Saves on buying yet more furniture.
Cons:
The toddler bed conversion doesn't have a guard rail at all. Our other bed had an expensive toddler bed conversion part that was another $150 or so so I can't knock a star off this item for that reason.
For the low price, the Sidney Crib is worth it. I found it to be equivalent quality to our $250+ crib for our son.
