I purchased this vanity for my wife for our five year anniversary (five years is the "wooden" anniversary). I shopped around and wanted to make sure that the vanity I chose was durable, beautiful and relatively easy to assemble without risking damage. I also wanted to be sure that height or adjustable function of the mirror catered to my 5'10" wife. This piece met all of those expectations and has been a great addition to our bedroom.
One of the things I would absolutely recommend with assembly is to use a manual philips screw driver. The wood is very sturdy and gorgeous so taking the time to use a method of drilling that limits the potential for stripped screws or scratching is well worth it. Another tip? When putting the cam lock screws in, be sure that before you do this, slide the screw driver into the pre-drilled holes and make gentle swirling motion to open up the holes slightly more. This will reduce the amount of pressure you have to put on the cam lock screw and ensure that the screws are inserted straight. Only one other thing the cam locks themselves can sometimes be somewhat loose when you put them in place. Nothing major but just know that they can fall out if you haven't yet attached and tightened them to the cam lock screws.
Another requirement of my shopping around was a stool that was sturdy and didn't feel like it would break apart with daily use. I sat in the stool (205 lbs) and it feels absolutely sturdy and is comfortable.
Finally, the finish is really gorgeous and it really is a great piece. Don't let the number of pieces in comes in frighten you or overwhelm you. I am normally the guy that half way through assembling an item, I am cursing or sweating up a storm of frustration. Not this time around, so take your time. Everything will fit and it will turn out great. I spent about 2 hours working on assembly only because I was being extra-cautious to avoid any scratches or mis-aligned screws.
Once again, a great product, my wife loves it and I highly recommend it over any other vanity available on Amazon.

Got it as a birthday gift for my wife. Looks as advertised. Solid wood and good finish. Took 3 hours to assemble. Couple of pieces are heavy, have someone to lend a hand occasionally. Nice touch: all screws etc. come with an extra piece.Only problem I had: labeling or manual should have been designed to avoid wrong orientation and having to take apart and re-assemble. Happened more than once during assembly: painful! To seller: Improve this and you get my 5 stars.
