We felt challenged when we tried to lift the box with the parts and take it upstairs. So, brains over brawn, we opened the box and took the pieces a few at a time. That worked... The instructions are straightforward (all in pictures) and well organized. If you don't try to skip a few steps, pretty soon you'll have a beautiful night table. After we set it up beside the bed (also by South Shore) we loved the look we had created. My 12 year-old daughter loves her new table, in which she keeps her keepsakes and other seemingly unimportant things that mean the world to her. The effort of putting it together was an added bonus to the beauty of the ensemble.

I bought this nightstand because it matched the bed and headboard I just bought my daughter. I was worried about the color of it, and thought I might have to stain it, however, as other reviewers have mentioned, the color is beautiful. It is light, but great and there is a design on the drawer that fits perfectly with the flower handle. Very girly; my daughter loves it! This is the first piece I decided to put together because it was the smallest (and the lightest) package. It came packaged in a very sturdy box with many, many pieces. It took about an hour to put together. The finished product is very appealing, and my daughter loves it. I only have a few things for other buyers to keep in mind: The directions they are okay.. they are definitely not the greatest a lot of the part numbers in the directions did not match the numbers written on the parts. You pretty much just have to look at the picture and the parts and figure out which piece goes where. The drawer the drawer is tight fitting very tight fitting. It does not come out all the way once it is put together but I am hoping that it will loosen some with use. Other than these 2 things I mentioned: this product is exactly as pictured (as long as you put it together properly) and seems to be a great buy. Its very sturdy and I cant wait for my daughter to put it to use! :)
