I ordered this table as a work table, thinking it was 42" high from the dimensions in the description. It is only 36" high. It also says 'bar' in the name, so I figured it was standard bar height. It's not what I wanted, but it's a beautiful table. I can't use it for what I intended, but it's so pretty that I'm not sending it back.

This is a pretty sturdy, massive (and surprisingly heavy) table. It's made from solid wood (here goes another beautiful tree) and painted white. It's pretty tall (as dimensions show). Also on the edges the paint is artificially worn out to give it a slightly "rustic" appearance. The wood underneath is dark, like mahogany. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it, but 2 things are keeping me from giving it 5 stars:

1) I think the legs are too long not to put some additional supports on the sides. I took care of that pretty quick and now it's much more stable (I've been wondering if my floor is slightly uneven, too); and,

2) They gave me a bad nut. I mean this literally a bad nut. It wasn't threaded right inside (not at all, more like it) so it was completely useless. And they don't give you any extra nuts so I was panicking that I won't be able to finish it. Thankfully, I had extra nuts from another home improvement project and used that nut instead.

Have I said the word "nuts" enough times for you? Good.

This was a great alternative to a traditionally round pub table. I put mine against a wall, intending to pull it out if four chairs around it are needed. Great finish.

Do you know how hard it is to find an all black wood table, good size for reasonable money. Well I found it on Amazon, looked at other options, but when it came to me making up my mind to order a table, I went with my first choice. Just put the legs on the table and your good to go. Very good packing job, everything was individually wrapped and protected. Good Job. Love the Table. Now on to a stool.

The table is very good looking, sturdy, was easy to assemble, and so far has worn well. The Amazon website did not post table dimensions, nor could I find them on the merchant's website, so that was disappointing (this took off a star). I knew I was taking a gamble, and it turns out the table is only 22" wide, making it difficult for two people to sit directly across from each other. Given its price, overall look and feel, It works for me for now so I decided to keep it, and in time will get a slightly larger table.
