We bought two of these to give as wedding gifts. Once we opened the box and saw them, I had to order two more because my wife said we were keeping the first two. They are really great trays. We've always had some type of tray for breakfast in bed (i.e., the reason we give trays as wedding gifts), playing cards in bed, and when one of us is sick, but these are the nicest trays we've ever had.
The leg height is adjustable, the angle of the raised tray is adjustable, and the drawer is a nice place to store pens, chargers, at the like.
Excellent purchase. We've now purchased several for gifts and one for our guest room.

I just had foot surgery and knew I was going to be bed-ridden for weeks so I purchased this desk/bed tray which is great, however, the first day I used it the notched bar that controls the degree of the tray's incline broke. It's an easy fix with wood glue but I admit I was a little annoyed. Easier to fix than return so all in all, I'm happy with the product.Best Deals for Pure Bamboo Foldable Laptop Computer Desk & Serving Bed Tray

It is very sturdily made but still lightweight -bamboo must be a very light wood! I love that all of the legs adjust independently. Currently I have it sitting half on my desk, half on my bed (there is only a small gap between the two), with each of the legs adjusted to the different heights so that the surface on top remains level. My laptop is on top and, if I flip the desk around to face the other way, the lip on the "front" now keeps my laptop from sliding off the back and the drawer opens to the perfect height for me to place a small ThermalTake Mobile Fan II. Since my laptop's outtake is on the left side, and the drawer opens on the left when the desk is reversed, this is perfect! It is like it was made for exactly what I need!It is also beautiful and very well-made. The smooth surface of the bamboo forms beautiful patterns that make it easily as sleek and stylish as my laptop.
I did unscrew the magnetic catch first thing, though, since magnets are harmful for computers. I will replace it with a simple hook-and-eye or non-magnetic cabinet latch later on. It is a sign of very good craftsmanship that I was able to do this easily and in about ten seconds with a regular philips screwdriver.
The best part? If I press my nose up VERY closely, all of the way to the surface of the wood, I can just barely smell what smells like wood glue. (It could also be the finish.) It reminds me of my mother's woodworking when I was younger, especially with its look and feel just as if it came off of a crafter's bench. I love things that are made with good, solid craftsmanship. When my mom goes in for her hip replacement, I'm definitely going to be buying her one for her recovery. (No, I am not sharing!)
Oh! I almost forgot! It does fold up very compactly, although you do need to adjust the legs to their default heights before it will fold up completely. There are no parts that stick out and it folds up completely, so I just slide it down the narrow space at the bed's footboard when I'm not using it. It doesn't have a heavy finish so I worry a bit about scratching it this way, so I may find another solution very soon. I don't want to damage it one bit!!
Thank you for creating such a wonderful product! It has made my life so much easier, now that I have a place to run my laptop actually -atmy desk!!

I think most people will find the major fault in this product is its packaging. The manufacturer's packaging is just a cardboard sleeve with no foam or padding to protect the product. That means it's up to the seller to pack it carefully before shipping. For me, that wasn't the case. It was forced into an amazon box it was too big for, and arrived broken as a result.I debated returning the tray, since other commenters said they'd done so without much trouble, but in the end I decided not to. I'm fairly handy and there were things about the product, broken or not, that I wanted to make adjustments to. Since I wanted to make those changes, I figured I'd just fix the broken part in the process. What specifically broke was the top surface panel on the draw-side of the tray. It snapped in two where one of the underside supports ends short of the frame (designed that way so the legs can fully fold underneath). To fix it, I just cleaned off the splinters from the break, glued it together, and stapled a small piece of luan to the underside to strengthen the joint. I also attached an identical piece of luan to the other side in the same spot, just because it's a structural weak spot.
Once that joint cures, the changes I want to make have to do largely with the underside of the tray. It's very rough under there in comparison to the top of the tray. There's lots of splinters and rough cut edges, and what little lacquer there is, is uneven. I want to do a pass or two on the rough spots with sand paper then I'm going to apply a proper coat of lacquer so it's just more pleasant to handle.
After my little improvements are made I expect it to end up being a fairly nice product. I like the design, and the fact that it's real wood (bamboo, sure, but that's better than particle board) makes it responsive to repair and improvements. That said, if you're not willing or able to put any work in, this is probably a risky buy.
