Beautiful nightstand, looks better that the picture, has a lovely subtle sheen and very well made. It came almost fully assembled, all I had to do was slide in the shelf and screw in the draw knob. It is very sturdy and solid wood is always a plus in my book. Packaged very well to avoid bumbs and tumbles five to ten minutes is all you need. The hardest part is getting all the packaging off. Totally love it.

The reviewer above is right on the mark about everything. However it's worthwhile to note, too, that the back panel is made of the brown pressed paper board often found on low-end furniture. But the board is securely attached with screws instead of staples which can loosen over time. Not exactly aesthetically pleasing but beds and nightstands are usually placed against the wall anyway. Also I wasn't crazy about the wood or chrome knobs included so I bought a fancier knob at Home Depot. The product was fine, much redder than I was expecting. I chose to return it, and had to put up with an extremely costly and difficult return process. You are given a short window in which to make the return, and are responsible for hefty restocking fees plus shipping. Not worth it at all if you're not 100% sure that it's the right piece for you. The nightstand came before the scheduled arrival date. It was easy to set up and looks great. Only drawback: The chemical smell. The smell subsides eventually. Keeping the drawer open during the day speeds up the process.
