Bought these specifically to use on Thanksgiving and LOVE them. They work perfectly for my goals for thanksgiving: casual, seasonal, but not kitchy decor. However, they are perfectly wonderful for regular usage because they are casual, yet well-made, and the colors are nice if you like autumn colors and fabric napkins. The colors are wonderful autumn colors and the fabric is thick and absorbant. The colors make me think of a mountain cabin, or the fabric (colors, not patterns) in the great hall at the Ahwahnee in Yosemite (which I love). The fabric is matte in appearance (no shine) so I would not use these if I was going for elegant at the dinner table. It's great for rustic elegance, or casual eco-friendly though. They could easily be used year-round (or during autumn and winter due to the color scheme), but I have them in my Thanksgiving Table box and use them only for Thanksgiving. I use them as napkins for each person and to line the cornbread basket. I hope my review is helpful for you!

Great colors, bright and lively. On first wash (cold wash and delicate dry), they shrunk about 1 inch all around. Given the generous sizing, I'm not too concerned but if keeping the exact size is important to you, keep this in mind. Overall, I'm pleased with them.

These napkins add a lovely touch to my table. They are a great size (big), look beautiful, and the price was great with the four for the price of three offer. I've yet to see how well they hold up to washing, but as of now they get five stars! I've downgraded these to four stars, although it doesn't show. They're great, but to look good they need ironing. Arghhh. Can't be doing that everyday!

First I liked the colors: red, green, blue, yellow and a variety of shades where the threads intersect between the solid squares. My house has 3 guys in it, they were good with the look too bold colors, good weight, and no flowers. I felt the price was very reasonable, so I purchased 4 sets to replace my mismatched collection of everyday cloth napkins. The napkins were 20" x 20" when I removed them from the packaging. I also removed the stick on label and cut away the white tag (I mention this because I missed one of the stickers and it was a mess to remove after washing and drying.) They are cut on the same fabric squares, so the napkins match each other, which is hard to tell the way the Amazon photo shows them stacked. You will need to fold them the same if you want them to look the same on the table. I just remember to start with the blue and the purple corners and it works out. Then I chose to wash them in my normal load of darks warm wash, cold rinse, method free & clear detergent with vinegar in the rinse, then tossed them in the dryer medium heat in a sensor dry cycle. Because I chose to ignore the recommended washing temperature, I expected shrinkage. My napkins are now 18.5" x 18.5", which is perfectly acceptable to me. Some came out of the dryer a wrinkled mess & all of them needed to be ironed so I spent 60 seconds or less ironing each napkin. Since I expected they would need to be ironed, this did not bother me. I have this experience with cotton napkins and find the cotton relaxes over time & usually needs no ironing after several times through the laundry. Some of these have been through the laundry 5+ times and they have just about reached the fold and store level, although now I kind of like the crisper look of the ironed napkins. I'll take a little ironing over polyester napkins any day. I ordered 2 more sets, so now I have 6 sets / 24 of these napkins. I feel these are a good value and I expect we will get many years of use out of them.

I have a set of the now unavailable DII Harvest Pumpkin Napkins that I absolutely LOVE because even when the kids wash them with everything else they turn out perfect. I don't have to iron them (I wouldn't anyway) they are so straight out of the dryer. These however, are not the same cotton blend, they are a bit thinner so they wrinkle badly. I must say they were washed by our son, so I am going to wash them myself again and see if a more delicate approach will help. I just had to mention that they are not the quality I was expecting.
