I purchased this tablecloth because I was looking for something a little sturdier than the ones you can buy at Target. This is, indeed, a heavy duty tablecloth. It's noticeably thicker (probably about twice as thick) as your standard vinyl tablecloth.

We ordered the ruby red, and the color was pretty true to the swatch on the ordering box NOT the color shown in the picture, which is more of a burgundy. It was a bright, ruby, red.

The edges are finished with what I think is called a "blanket stitch" a visible 1/4" sewing pattern covering the raw edge of the material, as opposed to a hem, where the material is folded over.

Overall, this is the sturdiest vinyl tablecloth I've seen. I wasn't blown away by anything else about it but hey...it's just a tablecloth.

The Galaxy heavyweight tablecloth was of good quality, and was just the right weight...my only complaint (which is important) was that the color was not true to the picture. Instead of a burgundy, it looks more like a dull grape. I will use it to protect my table when children use it, but I won't leave it on the table because it doesn't match my kitchen. This is the second one I ordered...the first one wasn't burgundy either...it was Ruby Red. It looked ok for Christmas, but not for year-round.

Just what I was looking for. It is a perfect cover my slightly oval table. It just means that there are longer hangs at the table legs. otherwise, there is about a five inch overlap on the sides. I have only had it on the table for a couple of days but the folds in the material from the packaging are already disappearing. That was a complaint that I read in one review that does not seem to hold much credence. It is reminiscent of my mother's old "oil cloth table covering" that was so easy to wipe clean of spills from three kids. (I am now 74) So that was a long time ago, but still a comfortable feeling of satisfaction knowing this type of product has stood the test of time.

This tablecloth is exactly what I was looking for, a nice, think, bright blue, vinyl tablecloth. It is much thicker than any I could find in a store. The only reason it isn't "perfect" is because it came quite wrinkled and I'm still trying to figure out how to get the wrinkles out! I'm sure I will find a way and then this will be the perfect tablecloth. At least I hope so for the price I paid!
