I was looking around for a headboard with the bookcase and this is the cheapest one I found that didn't look cheap. It is well made and sturdy. We didn't buy the other part of the set to make it a captain bed (the part under the bed with the drawers) and it still works fine. It's not attached to the bedframe or anything but it's pushed against the wall and the bed so it's not exactly in danger of moving. It's been perfect for my daughter to put all her books/toys/cds in and we all love it.

I would have given it a 5 star because, just like the bed I bought along with it, it was easy to assemble, is very sturdy and looks great!

But, one of the pieces was incorrect & when assembled left an obvious 1.5' gap in the front of the headboard. Amazon said I could return the whole headboard back & they would send me another one or keep it and get a discount off the price. I chose the latter it was too much trouble to ship that huge thing. Plus, whats the guarantee that the second set will be allright? They wouldn't send me just the wrong part.

So thats that. If you get all the right parts, its great! :)

This product works great for twin box beds. But for regular twin bed frame, you need a two by four and some screws and to modify. Then attach regular twin bed frame.

I purchased this to go with the "South Shore Spark Collection Twin Mates Bed, Pure White" and it looks very nice my 11yr old loves it, so that's the most important thing. It's solid, not flimsy, and was very easy to put together.
