i hate to iron. if you put these in the dryer, you'll never get them flat again. machine wash, hang to dry. then iron. kinda a pain in the butt, but since these are my first cloth napkins... maybe you have to iron them all?? good luck!

These napkins have a nice weight and are a good size for dinner, but the hemstitch is machine-stitched onto the napkin! I will never use these for a "real" dinner party because I would be embarrassed, and will instead use them to wrap food gifts that I give away, like a banana bread or batch of cookies.

These are really nice linen napkins. Heavy and crisp when ironed. Yes, you have to iron them. That is the cost of natural fabrics. (55% linen/45% cotton--it says so on the description.) If you don't want to iron, buy synthetics. It also works pretty well to take them out of the washer and spread them flat to dry.
