we have this in our living room in front of our couch. Its perfect height and the storage is a bonus. The construction is solid, the kids are always laying on it. Ill let you know if that changes. all in all a good purchase and would purchase again.

I love the bench but not the color. I was expecting something brighter in color but this is much more of a yellowy green. The bench itself holds the equivalent of two 70 QT storage tubs which is a lot of stuffed animals from my kids' room. The hinge attachment works well with no worry about pinching of fingers. I had been looking for a green ottoman to go at the foot of our bed to keep bed linens in. We have a king-size bed and this looks great with it. I love that you can open the top all the way without having to move it away from the bed. This bench is deeper than I thought from other reviews. I got a king blanket, queen comforter, king sheet set and misc other linens inside. Looks great in front of a king bed. The color is more yellow green but is a great contrast to our dark gray bedding. I do not think it will hold up long term to sitting on it but is a great storage piece.
