I did not like this item too much. I found that this item was not sturdy and I would not trust it with too much weight as a desk. It is fine just for looks just dont try to use it.

The instruction were misprinted and the parts were miss labeled. I received incorrect parts and had missing parts. The screws that are suppose to attach the desk to the bed frame were too short. I contacted the vendor to have them send me correct parts and received the wrong size screws again. So we have had this for about 2months and the unit itself is ok but without extra work and lumber not included with it or the bed it goes with it will not hold up. I attached the desk and it immediately came loose. The guides supplied are only attached by two screws and any slight bump will dislodge the desk. I need to take a trip to Home Depot to get some extra lumber to make this thing work. The other reviews are right this thing is not too great.Honest reviews on Canwood Whistler Slide Out Desk
Works well with the bed and gives lots more play space even if you do not need a desk traditionally.
