I bought 2--one for my arthritic dad and one for myself. I have used it nearly daily for eating, reading, writing, and even playing Farkle. My dad uses it to support his books without his hands hurting as much. This tray is inexpensive yet decently constructed. I would get it again, and recommend it to others.

Pieces started breaking off shortly after I started using it. For instance, the magnet completely broke off within a week. The edges of the top piece that the tray is connected to are connected by heavy duty staples that do not hold, especially if you sit your laptop on it. I've had to tap them back into place a few times. I am disappointed but what do you expect for $20. I use it for reading or eating. Do not recommend for laptop or anything heavy.

The tray came apart right after I took it out of the box. The top is supposed to lift up to become an inclined desk. However, the first time I tried to open it, one of the hinges came right off. The screws that hold the hinges on are extremely small, and the metal that the hinges are made of is very soft as is the wood that they are screwed into. The magnet that holds the desk closed seems to be stronger than the hinges can take, so when you tug on the desk to open it, it pulls the hinges apart. I like the idea of an adjustable bed tray, but this one is poorly constructed.

I ordered this as part of a wedding gift I opened the box to see if I would have to assemble it or if it was pre-assembled and when I lifted the edge two screws fell out of a very flimsy hinge the screws were incredibly tiny themselves and completely unappropriate. I do not recommend this product cheaply built and doesn't even look that nice out of the box.

I had bought this Tray/Desk about 3 months back and had really liked at first. I had even left a positive review for it (4 stars!) after about a month of use. I had found it highly convenient and worth the price I paid. I take it all back now.

The desk is flimsy the panel at the side that holds the legs in has come out. The wood is not strong and the nails that have been used to hold everything together are of little use. I have used this very lightly till now it was only there to rest my laptop on. If it falls apart with such light use, and that too in less than 3 months, then there is nothing positive to be said about it.
