I have had one of these for years and am buying this pretty one for a gift. Do not understand the person who doesn't like it, unless it was used only for paperbacks. I have found it useful for my Kindle and, before that, for large, heavy books especially. This takes the weight off trying to hold a big book or any hardback book. If you are a paperback reader, then you don't need one of these. When you turn it over, it fits right into the corner of a chair and looks like any other pillow for decoration when not in use.

I have a Kindle DX which I love because of the larger screen. However, it is a bit heavier to hold up than the Kindle 2. But this pillow is a great tool to help support the Kindle DX. It works with the "stand-alone" kindle or with the kindle safely sitting in its box.

It is comfortable and soft in your lap -although the one I have is a chenille fabric which I find to be softer and cozier. The ridges are exactly the right width to match the DX. I also turn it upside down and that helps raise the Kindle DX up eye level when I'm slouching.

Overall this is a great reading tool and nice looking. I highly recommend it! It would work equally well with an Ipad or any of the android tablets and ebook readers...

I purchased three of these from Amazon.com to give as Christmas gifts and included an Amazon gift card in the pockets of two of them because the recipients have Kindles and a B&N gift card in the pocket of the third one because the recipient has a Nook. I hope Santa brings me one.

My 63-year-old mother sked for something like this specifically since she reads in bed a lot, so it was one of the things I got her for Christmas. She seemed especially pleased with the pattern, since it was nice enough not to look out of place if she left it sitting on her bed.

She said it worked perfectly.

The Kindle fits in two of the side pockets or rests on all four sides. I have given two of these as presents to friends with iPads. It is a most versatile, useful reading pillow. I also rest my knitting on it.

Note: I do not know why this pillow is classified as a toy.
