I fell in love with the crib because it features tons of storage space and changing station. It wasn't difficult to assemble either. Reason why 3 stars is because of the following complaints HOPE SOMEONE FROM MANUFACTURE IS READING THIS:

1) The mattress is NOT included we bought ours in Walmart

2) The mattress is way TOO low. So we are now buying the 2nd mattress to pile up in order to give it reasonable height. To bend so low back and forth is very annoying not to mention will hurt your back (esp after C-section). Why manufacturer couldn't do the adjustable base is beyond me.

3) No drop down side. Which is very stupid and inconvenient. I was reading reviews and people mentioned that it's for safety reasons (baby fingers get caught and etc). But I'm sure for a few bucks, the manufacturer could include protection lock so that the drop down side stays put.

4) Being an organized freak, I think the side storage (for diapers) could have a sliding door and MORE storage across the left side, not just right hand side. The left side has plain white sheet which serves no function and just blocked....which is kinda stupid...

If these complaints could be addressed ASAP this crib would deserve 6 stars. I bought pink dot knobs from Potter Barn Kids, actually which makes this crib look even more fancier. But from the functionality perspective and usage, the above mentioned changes must be made.

Hope it helps.

it is impossible to find the youth mattress for this convertible crib, there for it is not convertible...the crib has been great until now. my child is 2 and the crib size required for the conversion to youth bed (mattress dimensions: 68" x 27 1/4") is not to be found anywhere. Time to retire this model.
